Opened in 1945 - "We've Come a Long Way"

With thanks to FRANK of CHRIS, MILT & FLORENCE we've obtained these images from early fifties nudist magazines - some of them are quite amazing, check back often to see this article evolve. If you have any old photos we would appreaciate having them to add.

Arriving at Sunny Rest Resort is now a lot different than in the early years.

From the lower meadow looking up towards the pool area

This picture was taken in 1953. - Treehouse is extreme left — Gwen's cabin next left — Frank's old cabin extreme right.
The dining room is now where the cars are in the center.

Believe it or not - this one from 1950 was taken from where FRANK & CHRIS live. The building directly behind the dirt bottom pool was then called the "chicken coop" — it's where the poolside rooms 16 & 17 are now.
The apple tree left rear is visible in the bathouse picture below.

Bath House/Shower Facilities have changed a lot

Hmmmm we do keep the grass cut better these days.

Yes, we actually had a licensed private airport, and you thought Airport Road was just a name.
